Climb for Clean Water
In late July, Bill Cox and Jamie Fike will attempt to climb 14,411 feet (4,392 m) Mount Rainier in Washington to raise $6,400 to provide clean water to a community living in a remote region of the Himalayas.
During their climb, Bill and Jamie will spend several hours melting snow for the large amounts of drinking water they'll need to stay hydrated and well at altitude. They'll also need to carry this water with them as they climb the mountain. This process will be an excellent reminder of the difficulties many in our world go through just to get clean water.
Bill and Jamie are excited to partner with friends from Neverthirst to provide an entire village with clean, living water through the communities' local church.
In a world of over 6 billion people, almost 1 billion are living without access to clean, safe drinking water.
Today, you have the opportunity to change the lives of some of those people.
But it's not all about clean drinking water. By giving through this page, you are helping local churches bring this clean drinking water to their community. Local churches serving in some of the most difficult places on earth.
This particular project is focused in a remote region of Southeast Asia high in the Himalaya Mountains among a community that is currently struggling with no access to clean water. When you support Jamie and Bill in their climb up Mt. Rainier, you will literally be helping provide clean water to a community living in similar circumstances. Join them in this adventure and help save lives in the process.
Once the project is complete, we will send Jamie and Bill images and documentation of the community they helped and the people's lives who have been changed. We are sure they will forward those on to all who helped!
