Fundraise

"How can I help?" is one of our most asked questions, and fundraising is usually our answer!

Here are some creative fundraisers others have done, that might help you come up with an idea of your own...

"We'll Play for India"

Ashley and Mandi, two Samford students, put together a coffee house concert and invited everyone they knew. They had the coffee donated, and set up a bake sale and a jewelry and art sale to raise extra money. The music, performed by Mandi, was fantastic and the whole night was a great success! Five wells were drilled in India thanks to their effort and all that came out and supported such a great fundraiser!

"Yard Sale"

The Gossett Family put great effort into their multi family yard sale. By word of mouth, they spread the idea to friends and family and collected hundreds of items to sell. They advertised, like crazy, putting flyers everywhere and ads in the newspapers. On a Saturday morning, in the pouring down rain, their church parking lot was packed with shoppers and enough money was raised to fund a well in Sudan!

"Cocoa for Clean Water"

After learning of children, just like him, that lived without clean drinking water, 8 year old Jay decided to do something to help. Jay organized a hot cocoa stand that he set up multiple times around town until he met his goal. He got all of the hot cocoa donated and sold hundreds of cups, until he raised enough money to have a well drilled in Sudan. Jay's hot cocoa stand was so much fun and such a success, he has decided to continue this through the warmer months with a "Lemonade for Living Water" stand to raised money for a well in India! Way to go Jay!!

"Climb for Clean Water"

Jamie and Bill are climbing Mount Rainier, in Washington. But they aren't just climbing over 14,000 feet, they are raising money to fund one of our Reachable Projects to bring clean water and the gospel to an unreached people group living high in the Himalayas. Jamie and Bill are asking for sponsors to support their efforts to raise these funds as they climb. The hike will take place in the coming months and we are excited to report their success!
