Walk for Water

I love the women in my life.

My wife is my soul-mate and best friend. She drives a school bus as I travel around the world. She is as much of Neverthirst as I am - it couldn't be done without her.

My mom has been a constant source of unconditional love and mercy.

My daughter is our entertainment. Not a day goes by that she doesn't make us laugh and wonder what goes through her mind!

My sister is our family social butterfly. When there is cause for celebration, she is in the middle of it all.

I could go on and on about my mother-in-law, all of my sister-in-laws and nieces...but I think you get the picture.

Women are important. To me. To you. And to untold millions around the world.

Over the past several years I've come to appreciate women around the world. In Ukraine I was moved to tears by the love of a sweet orphan, Anya. In Sudan, Amelia captured my heart with her beautiful smile and contagious laughter. And in India last week, I was reminded again about the value of women as we kicked off our first church based programs based on the influence women have in their homes and the community.

In these male-dominated societies, women are the backbone of their community.

They work in the fields, they take care of the children, they prepare meals and they run the household.

And as if that weren't enough - women around the world walk long distances to provide water for their families. Sometimes contaminated water that can be devastating to the health of their children.

On March 27th, we will be hosting our very first Walk for Water. It's a family event at Railroad Park in Birmingham where we'll gather with our friends and have a good time enjoying each others company. But more importantly, it's a chance for us to change a woman's life by providing clean and living water for her family.

Each registration can provide at least one family clean and living water through their local church and drastically reduce the distance they travel for water each day.

Come, join us and walk 5k so they don't have to.

Hope to see you there,

Spencer

P.S.  To guarantee you get a t-shirt (and proper size), please register by March 16th!
