Today, there are approximately 12 million living in Sudan without clean water, with only 20% of the population having access to adequate sanitation. In spring, 2008, we visited a local hospital in Lui, Sudan and prayed over bed after bed of those suffering from water-related diseases. When we began praying about which countries needed our help the most, we knew we were being called to partner with three types of local church: The persecuted church, the church working in unreached areas, and the church working in the poorest and most remote areas of the world.
