India
Population: 1,156,897,766 donate nowAccording to UNICEF, this year in India, between 400,000 and 500,000 children under the age of five will die from preventable diseases caused by dirty water and poor sanitation.
It doesnʼt have to be this way. We first visited India in February 2008 and had a difficult time processing the staggering statistics that come to life once face to face with the reality. An astounding 900 million living on less than US $2 a day and some 130 million without access to clean water. Combine this with the fact that there are more unreached people groups living in India than anywhere else on the planet and it's enough to overwhelm most.
But seeing these things with our own eyes, we committed to work in India for the duration of our existence. We began our first projects in north India and are currently working with four distinct water partners in several states.
We typically restrict some of the information on the site regarding India due to the sensitive nature of the material and locations of our partners.
Join us as we encourage church leaders through clean water initiatives in their communities.
