Hi, I've travelled to Myanmar this year and saw first hand the need for safe drinking water. I visited villages in the Irrawaddy Delta, 4 hours south of Yangon. The wet season makes access near impossible, and the only way into the villages was by small boat winding along narrow canals. The only water source for the people in these isolated villages is rain water in wet season and rivers and ponds during the long dry season. Neverthirst began working in 5 villages in late September and our plan is to complete 200 bio-sand filters, for 200 households, that will help to treat water and make it safe to drink. Our family is aiming to raise $3000 to provide 20 families with their own bio-sand filter. Each filter costs $150 (US dollars), would you consider helping us? Thanks.
